From John Keogh

One morning, John visited Ivan and Coira Churchfield in Te Awamutu. He took the bus from Hamilton Transport Centre to Te Awamutu.

Before arriving at Ivan and Coira Churchfield’s doorstep, John knocked on the door and waited, understanding that Coira was out doing the shopping.
Ivan answered the door and opened it with a big smile on his face. John was shocked to see Ivan’s face, which was full of pink, and knew that something was wrong. John told Ivan to go into the bathroom and look in the mirror.

Ivan screamed and was horrified to see his face in pink. He wondered where the pink came from. Coira came home and looked shocked to see her husband with a pink face. She asked the same question—what had happened to your pink face?

Coira realised she had bought a pink bath towel the other day and put it straight into the linen cupboard without washing the new bath towel in the washing machine. The machine must rinse any dye from towels, clothes, and other materials.

Ivan tried to wash it off, but it did not come off. Removing the pink dye from his face took a couple of days.

John, Ivan, and Coira had a good laugh, and they enjoyed the day by laughing, joking, and teasing each other. We all love Ivan in their hearts, as he was not around today.
